Rules for 20 Questions

  1. The game is called Twenty Questions, and the objective is to guess the chosen person, place, or thing in 20 questions or less.

  3. Select one person as “it” who will choose a person, place, or thing for each round.

  6. After each guess, keep track of the number of guesses used until it reaches the limit of 20.

  8. If a player correctly guesses the object before then, they become “it” for the next game and choose the next person, place, or thing.
  9. Otherwise, the answer is revealed at the end of the round.
  10. The game can also be used as an ESL activity by preparing flashcards with various categories to help non-native speakers learn English words.
